The Abyss
CommonLocations

A mysterious realm located above Pywel, described as a realm of floating islands powered by a mixture of magic and technology. One of the major mysteries hanging over the continent. Abyss Artifacts, magical items that fall from the realm, grant strange powers to those who possess them. Kliff encounters the Abyss during early main quest stages, discovering puzzle, traversal, and progression systems. Artifacts unlock character upgrades and new abilities.

A character name associated with early prerelease material for Crimson Desert. In older developer-supplied material from 2019, the game's protagonist was identified as Macduff, son of Martinus. Later prerelease material shifted to using the name Kliff instead. It is unclear how much of the older naming and family background remains unchanged in the final version.
