- Two card minigames: Duo (low-stakes, found in Hernand) and Five-Card (high-stakes, north).
- Card draws re-randomize on each save load. That's the entire exploit.
- Save-scum strategy = manual save → all-in → reload on bad hands. Zero financial risk.
- AI calls all-in early even with weak hands — multi-opponent tables print silver.
- Bonus: a Cheat ability exists. It activates when Kliff is the dealer.
1. Duo — rules and where to play
- 2-player card duel, available in Hernand taverns from Chapter 1.
- Goal: highest hand value (Five Points or above is strong, all-in trigger).
- Stakes start at 1-5 silver — perfect for learning the AI tells.
- Win 10 matches at any tavern to unlock invitation to Beighen Five-Card.
2. Five-Card — high-stakes, multi-opponent
- 3-4 player table, found in Beighen and other northern cities.
- Best hand to all-in on: Seven Pair or higher.
- Multiple opponents = bigger pot, more silver per save-scum cycle.
- Default min stake is ~50 silver — you need a buffer before sitting down.
3. Save-scum — the exact loop
- Step 1: Manual Save right before sitting at the table.
- Step 2: Buy in. Wait for the first hand reveal.
- Step 3: If you have Seven Pair+ (Five-Card) or Five Points+ (Duo), press all-in immediately.
- Step 4: Bad hand? Reload manual save. Cards re-randomize.
- Step 5: Win? Save again. Repeat. ~2,000 silver / 30 min at Beighen Five-Card.
4. Cheat ability — unlock by spotting blue-outline opponents
- Play enough card games and one opponent will display a blue glow — same VFX as combat 'study' targets.
- Observe that opponent winning 3 times to unlock the Cheat ability.
- Cheat only activates when Kliff is dealing. Hold the Hide Hand button prompt.
- Pick a number and color — that card auto-adds to your set. Lethal vs. high-stakes opponents.
- Each cheat use risks getting caught — alternate between cheat and clean play.
5. Where to spend your gambling silver
- Buy every Small Bag from every vendor first (50 copper × N = trivial).
- Then high-tier weapons at Beighen blacksmiths — they sell pieces other cities don't.
- Stock buff food ingredients in bulk: fish, spices, herbs.
- Save 5,000+ silver for the late-game Wyvern register fee.
