Walkthrough
- 1Access your inventory and find the purple letter from Torstein
- 2Select 'Maegu's Letter' and hold the designated button to read the message
- 3Travel south from Demeniss toward your old Greymane camp
- 4If you lack fast travel points, teleport to the Abyss above Greymane camp
- 5Descend from the Abyss and ride a horse to the bamboo forest area
- 6Approach the isolated bamboo forest altar location
- 7Interact with the two stone lanterns positioned in front of the altar
- 8Light both lanterns to complete the quest objective
Tips
- This is an introductory story quest with no combat
- Use fast travel to the nearest point or ride a horse for efficiency
- The letter from Torstein provides essential context about Meague's situation
- The quest location is quite far from civilization — plan your route ahead
- No rewards for this quest, but it unlocks the next main quest: Ritual Preparations
- The altar can only be interacted with after reading Maegu's letter
- Both stone lanterns must be lit to progress
